The Challenge:
After 20 years in hospital psychiatry, Dr. Usha transitioned to community care and was overwhelmed by manual referrals and admin. Initially managing 8–10 referrals/day, her volume surged to 40–50/day within months. Creating each new patient took 10–12 minutes.
I was starting to panic. I had to turn away patients, and I hated that.
The Solution:
Dr. Usha partnered with WaiveTheWait to pilot our Patient Creation and Document Triage systems — becoming the first psychiatrist to use the service. Within days, she was reviewing categorized, auto-populated referrals with no need for manual chart creation.
